  • English is spoken everywhere in the Cape Town region, this not being one of the hotbeds of Afrikaaner-dom.

  • No vaccinations are required but you should consult your GP about any anti-malarial medication that may be advisable. Do this a few weeks prior to your departure.

  • Although the fact that it is in Africa suggests that Cape Town might be hot all year round, that is not the case. June and July (their winter) can be very wet and windy, and you wouldn’t go ona golf holiday in Manchester in March, would you? So go during the European winter.
