My advice
to any player who wants to see real improvement in their scoring is to
go out and practice short game skills – chipping, pitching, putting
and sand play.
The ability to get your ball up-and- down from within 50 yards or so of
the pin makes such a fantastic difference to your mindset, as confidence
in this area will have a knock on effect that spurs your whole game.
Each of these superb video clips will provide you with the basics that
you need to go out and work on improving that specific skill. The
key is that you develop not only the technical aspects to playing the
shot successfully, but also the visualisation techniques that enable you
to 'see' a shot before you play it. We all need good fundamentals, but,
ultimately, a reliable short game is all about artistry and invention.
Right, let's go to work.... |
