Finger Grip
Try this simple exercise before you tee off
We ALL live in the hope that we might improve our swing technique, but working on and improving the rhythm and what I like to term the ‘flow’ of our swing is by far and away the quickest route to playing better golf.
As an exercise, try this before you next tee off for a game. Grip a mid-iron loosely in your fingers, as you see me doing here, and simply make a relaxed, flowing swing. With just your fingers on the grip you will find that you have to let the clubhead swing freely to the top of the backswing before reversing the momentum all the way to a released follow-through position.
Do this for a couple of minutes and then apply that same feel, flow and rhythm to your regular swing. Believe me, the freer you swing that clubhead, the better chance you will give yourself of striking solid shots with every single club in the bag.
