The 'Overlapping' or 'Vardon'
grip, where the little finger of
the right hand rests either on
top of the right forefinger, or
in the small channel between
the index and second finger on
the right hand.
Often regarded as a good
starter grip for juniors (and
also recommended for ladies
and seniors who perhaps lack
strength in the wrists), the tenfingered
'Baseball' style sees
all the fingers on the grip.
The 'Interlocking' grip is socalled
for the way in which the
left forefinger and right little
finger interlock as the hands
link together.
