Stand up straight, your feet shoulder width
apart, then extend your arms and shuffle the club through your hands
until the butt-end rests snug in your stomach, just above the belt buckle
(far left). The leading edge of the club should be vertical. From here,
turn your hips to face the target (right), making sure that the clubshaft
remains at
|
right angles to your hips – exactly as it was
at the set-up. In other words, there is no backswing, just a smooth
turn to face the target, allowing the majority of your weight to flow
into your left side. Every time you repeat this move you are training
one of the two core movements in the golf swing – the body turn. |
